Make happy hour ahead of time.

You can find the “washline” aka, where the liquid line of a freshly made drink sits in your favorite glass, mark it, and make your stirred “up” drinks in advance, one drink at a time!

Add the regular recipe, water to the washline, and stick it in the freezer for about 20 minutes. This is a great way to frontload a couple of Martinis or Manhattans when you get home from work, ensuring a perfect round is ready after you settle in and decompress.

          No jigger?
          No problem.

If you find yourself in a bind without bar tools, reach for the humble tablespoon. One baking tablespoon is almost exactly half an ounce.

Four tbsp of spirit, one and a half of citrus juice, and one and a half of simple syrup and your sours are saved! Pro-tip; an Air BNB without a shaker tin may still have a blender, just don’t use too much ice.

Put your infusion on fast forward.

No one likes waiting for an infusion. To have your strawberry infused tequila (or any other infusion) much more quickly, consider an immersion circulator or “sous vide machine”.

Place your booze and the product you want to infuse in a gallon freezer Ziploc bag, and set it in a bath at 132f for 4 hours. The temperature is hot enough to speed up your infusion, without being so hot as to cook out the fresh flavors.
